Peaceful Valley Gardens is owned by Adaela McLaughlin. Adaela has provided landscape maintenance services since 1995 and design services since 1997. In 2001 after she moved to the Merrimack Valley she began working in Andover, North Andover, Boxford, Haverhill, West Newbury, Tewksbury, Groveland and Methuen. Before this, she worked in Belmont, Arlington, Weston, Lexington and Cambridge. From 1993 to 2003 she directed a reforestation project in the Boston Harbor Island National Park Area restoring native forest habitat areas. She has worked on organic vegetable and conventional fruit farms. She worked as a counselor at an ecological day camp. Before entering the horticulture field, Adaela worked as a metallurgical engineer. The highlight of Adaela’s day while working as an engineer was her lunchtime walk in nature!
Adaela’s wants to help everyone enjoy the peace of nature. She feels that it is in nature that one remembers that we are part of a larger picture. There our small worries do not tug us so much. If one finds it difficult to access nature in public areas, then it is vital to have a bit of nature in one’s own living area.
