Creating the landscape anew: Co-creation

Peaceful Valley Gardens offers designs to fit just about everyone's idea of a peaceful landscape.

The Ideal Garden
The ideal garden can be a microcosm of a larger natural or cultural landscape that resonates on a deep level with the garden visitor, allowing the visitor to feel or contemplate peace. The task at hand is to insert the essence of a large landscape into a smaller. For instance, some people like a natural look, some a formal look, some a meditative feel and some a whimsical feel to their landscapes.

Designing With Nature
Designing is done in concert with the local ecology by bringing out the site's inherent characteristics. For instance, if the area is dry and surrounded by tall trees, then a shade garden using plants that require little water is created. This all adds up to a landscape created in cooperation with three entities, the Client, Nature and Peaceful Valley Gardens. We all work together to co-create a landscape that meets your needs.

The Design Process
To begin the process, the client's interests are explored via an in-depth survey. During the concept design phase, different ideas are presented until the customer is satisfied. During the final design phase, plants are chosen with care to fit the needs of the property such as sun or soil conditions, as well as the client's maintenance abilities and time. All designs include a soils test to determine the chemistry of the soil.

It is highly recommended in almost all cases that low maintenance plants be selected. We can take care of the installation of the landscape.  For people who want to install their own gardens, a step-by-step list is provided on how to install gardens.
