Stake floppy perennials. Apply insecticidal soap for lacebugs and sawflies.  Weed.

June
Prune flowering shrubs after bloom. Cut back perennials that grow excessively long stems. Fertilize roses. Weed.

July
Weed and do special projects.

August

Soul of the Garden

It starts with soil.

“The care of the soil and the care of the soul are not separate things,” said Satish Kumar, an Indian ecological activist. So, if the soil of a garden is cared for, then its soul is nourished.

Peaceful Valley Gardens places great emphasis on soil makeup. Adding organic matter and organic fertilizers has been shown to be very beneficial to garden health. It decreases the amount of additional water necessary and increases the health and vitality of plants.

Pruning is an art and can be a multiple year task. If a customer’s shrubs have overtaken the house, Peaceful Valley Gardens can come to the rescue, pruning shrubs to the style of choice.

Weed removal is a vital service that is provided so gardens and walkways always look fresh.
